We started Nano in Zurich with a feeling we couldn't shake. Everywhere we looked, people were performing: for cameras, for feeds, for rooms that were only half listening. And eyewear had followed them, with louder shapes, bigger logos and frames designed to be looked at.

We wanted to make the opposite. Glasses for the people at the edge of the frame. The ones who watch, who notice the pause before someone answers, who would rather see a room than be seen in it.

So we work in small numbers. Every collection begins as a world before it becomes a product: a place, a kind of light, a feeling we want to hold on to. We collect images until that world is clear, then we bring the frames into it. Our two shapes, AALTO and TALITA, stay with us from one collection to the next. We would rather refine a frame than replace it.

The details are made for the person wearing them. Three silver rivets on the front. Our name on the inside of the temple. A small gold star at its tip that most people will never notice. You will.

We produce in small runs and sell every frame at one price, directly from us to you.
